How fast will I hear back?

Usually within a day, often the same evening. You're emailing or calling the owner directly, not an agency or a call center, so there's no ticket queue to sit in.

Is a deposit required to hold my week?

Yes, a $500 refundable security deposit holds your dates. It's returned after checkout, assuming no damage beyond normal wear. Full policy is on the rates & policies page.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel more than 60 days before arrival and your deposit is returned in full. Inside 60 days, the deposit is forfeited — we're a single-family cottage, not a hotel, so a late cancellation usually means the week goes unbooked.

Do you charge platform fees?

No. This is a direct booking with the owner, so there's no Airbnb or Vrbo service fee added to your total.

Can I bring a dog?

Yes — Lucky Landing is pet-friendly. There's a $100 pet fee, and the yard runs right down to the canal, which dogs tend to love.

What's the minimum stay?

Peak season is a 7-night, Saturday-to-Saturday minimum. Off-season drops to a 2-night minimum, which makes a long weekend on the island doable.
